Thank you P. Sounds like I finally got a sentient being. I take you at your

word and retract my insult. I did go through the offline option and go

through it. None of the options or, FAQ's applied, until I got to

 

   - Flash Player for Firefox - NPAPI

You would probably believe it, but that worked quite expeditiously.

WMF images for printing

Hi All,

 

Can we use .wmf files in Indesign CS6 for printing and making the epub and XML files.

 

Is there any chance that wmf files will create any problem while making the PDF from the Acrobat Distiller.

 

Which is the best option to go with .EPS or .WMF format for printing and as well as for Digital versions.

 

Please assist me with the same.

Hi Cristen,

I am using the last version of Bridge CC. Normaly, Bridge works fine : I can see/play every kind of files, as well as video like mt2, mp4, mov, avi... but only the genuine one.

I do not think the cache is a problem, because I import from my camera new videos and pictures every weeks without any issue.

Bridge is crashing only, if I render a video from photoshop. Then it does not show any pictures or videos in the folder and crashes as soon as I open Bridge.

If I save the rendered video in an other folder, (other than the main Bridge-folder), then it does not crash . But if I choose this new folder with Bridge, it crashes immediately. Also I can not see the rendered video at all.

面倒かもしれませんが、一旦PDFに書き出して、AcrobatかAdobe Readerからプリントアウトしてください。

もしくは、「PDF互換ファイルを作成」にチェックを入れて保存したAiを複製し、拡張子をPDFに書き換えてからAcrobat／Adobe Readerで開く、という方法もあります。

Thank you for replying to my problems. I will try and look into the links you provided and hopefully get some positive results.

I have discovered that Adobe Premier Elements 6 doesn't exist; my version is in fact # 4. I got confused because I have Adobe Photoshop 6 installed also!!!

 

My new camera actually records in MP4 and AVCHD simultaneously; don't ask me why!

When I download files from the camcorder onto my PC, both versions are downloaded; I have only used MP4 files with Premier Elements 4 though.

intel atom cs5/cs4? windows 10

First, can i still download cs5/cs4 on windows 10 or it will be registered as too old?

 

**I cannot download the latest version of photoshop because i fear it won't work on my laptop.

 

Here are the specifications for my laptop:

-windows 10

-Intel Atom @ 1.33 GHz

-8 GB RAM

 

So i guess i will have to rely on cs5 or cs4 since maybe newer versions will be too strong.. Which do you think will be better for my specifications?

Yes i have checked the system requirements for photoshop, but all im asking is can I download it and do light stuff editing or i totally cant?? and my laptop will crash and i wouldnt even open photoshop again?

Drop shadow and snap to grid

Morning everyone, I having some issues with drop shadow and snap to grid behavior.

 

If I draw a rectangle it will snap to a given grid perfectly (just as expected). Now if i give this rectangle a drop shadow it will try to snap to the boundaries of that drop shadow in stead of the rectangle itself which is quite annoying. Is this the expected behavior or am I running in to a bug or some hidden setting?

Hi Joshua,

 

I am having some difficulties getting my export settings to a Grass Valley K2 right. It's quite old and temperamental and crashes which is awkward as its being used in live TV!

 

I was just wondering if you might share your export settings to export to the K2 in the MXF wrapper?

 

I'm slowly working through different settings but if you've already got it working it could be really useful

The update from the Help menu works fine for everybody. In the past, with different PSE versions, there has been some cases of conflicts on account of several camera raw plugins (Camera Raw.8bi) installed in various locations.

Troubleshooting steps:

- do a search for files named 'Camera Raw.8bi'

- and note their size and file date

 

Those files are installed in various folders, the 9.0 one version is dated April 14th, 52,9MB. I have 10 different versions, for different PSE and Photoshop versions since PSE6 !!!

The good one is installed in:

C:\Programme\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-ins\Elements 13\File Formats

 

The update from the Help menu is the 9.0 version which is good for your camera.

That update does not work for version 9.1, needed for newer cameras: a manual install has worked for some users.

 

Note that you are not speaking to Adobe here, only to other users like you. If you browse the posts here, you'll see that it's generally easier and quicker to get an answer here than trying to get help from Adobe in India (although there are competent staff members posting here sometimes). That's especially true if you have issues with older Elements version.
